Rooftop bar was good but overpriced drinks. Early check-in, option to add microwave, fridge and a crib, friendly staff and fast service. The room I stayed looked like one of the older ones that hasn't been updated, the beds were worn and very lumpy, the shower did not work properly.

Small restaurant, no swimming pool or a gym. Relish under-the-radar discoveries in our happening East Village hotel.

Savor the laid-back vibe that permeates our regal oasis on our rooftop pool, in your casually-refined room and in our delicious culinary hubs , or explore the plus restaurants and entertainment venues within a five-mile radius of our front door.

Gas Lamp quarter is a happening place. Lots of good restaurants and bars. Great pool deck lounge w bar at the Solamar. Friendly staff w attentive valet team.

Probably slightly more enjoyable when construction is not going on all around the hotel. Room was clean but there were a few areas to improve: But the staff were very friendly apologetic about that.

Overall great trip and the location cant be beat! The location downtown was great and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Staff were really friendly. Room was very nice and rooftop pool was very cool. Location to the gas lamp and ballpark is perfect.

Kimpton's are consistently good. I felt this was more a businessman hotel which is quite different from other Kimpton's I've stayed at.

Most of them have a hip vibe which for us old folks is fun and energizing. Our stay was short but pleasant and the staff was nice.

I really have no complaints. Everything was clean and the quality of the amenities were good. Like a lot of hotels they have gone bare bones in the toiletries everything is liquid and pre stocked.

As a woman though i find that like other hotels I miss things like a Shower cap and some of the other little things that used to be provided.

Hard to imagine that would be big in the cost cutting department. Overall tho none of this would stop me from staying at another Kimpton.

Very nice rooms, very clean and staff was very nice and helpful. Great location, spacious room with some wear and tear. Shower didn't adjust, spray was not right.

Bathroom outlets not fixed to wall properly. Pillows thin and cheap feeling. I was content with everything for sure I won't hesitate to stay there next time while in San Diego.

Didn't have a TV package to be able to order in room movies. Didn't clean the room the first two days. Had to call down to get them to do it on afternoon of day 2.

Kind of weird and annoying is all. I had a corner room with construction going on on both sides till late in the evening to first thing in the morning.

Couldn't open the curtains do to construction works just outside very noisy stay. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-out, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby.

Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and meeting rooms. The service is outstanding. Every team member at every level cannot do enough for you.

The grounds are beautiful overlooking the Pacific Ocean. All shops and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. Facility - historic landmark.

The pool is very nice and most of the staff are friendly. The room was tiny, very uncomfortable, and lousy view.

The charge for the room was ridiculous. There is nothing about this hotel that you will not like!

They didn't answer their main telephone number, at all, in the days leading up to my arrival. They also do a poor job of warning guests that July 4 fireworks cannot be viewed from the hotel unless you are in a private reserved area.

Missing much of the fireworks while exploring the hotel for a non-exclusive vantage point was, needless to say, a bummer. Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Downtown.

Whether you're joining us for family fun or to get the job done, make your stay a success at Courtyard San Diego Downtown. The room the common areas and the overall cleanliness.

They went above and beyond when I requested to have a surprise bubbly in the room before we got there. Great location and near Gaslamp!

Location was great, clean and everything i needed. Beautiful building and nice updated rooms. We should have been informed the purpose of our trip was to relax.

The front desk service in the evening when I checked in. When I called to ask a simple question about the parking.

A snobby person answered and it sounded like they were forced to talk to me. He wasn't genuinely friendly and didn't make me feel comfortable to stay at your hotel.

You Need to improve on bettering your customer service. Quite a bit of street noise gets into room. Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

Travel should take you places! Customer service was excellent. In room service was amazing and the atmosphere felt relaxing.

It is a wonderful location and the building is gorgeous. Can't beat the view! We have stayed numerous times, always a good experience.

The locations was great next to the convention center and Gas Lamp. Also close to food and shops. Clean, renovated and felt luxurious.

We loved the location and he cleanliness. It was very quiet and the room was extremely comfortable! It is on the bayfront and has restaurants and close to Gaslamp.

Location is great being right off the bay, convention center next door. Views of downtown and Coronado island were stunning from our room.

Everything nice restaurants and bars Room was clean and early check in was easy Staff was courteous. View from room was spectacular.

Worse costumer service worse than 2 star hotel. What is this, ? Get it together Hilton. So many more options in town, and along the bayfront that offer a better value.

View was not the same as pictures. We did like the view but wished there were more pictures online so you can get a good feel of the view you're paying for.

I believe it would be helpful for further bookings. On the first morning of our stay, the housekeeping supervisor with her clipboard came banging at our door at 8am.

She didn't stop until we jolted out of a deep sleep to answer the door. When we came to the door she pretended not to speak English. There is no fridge in the room.

The duvets had stains and smelt bad. On site restaurant had bad reviews; fox bar was decent. Hard Rock Hotel San Diego.

This chic, rock 'n' roll-themed hotel is 6 minutes' walk from the lively Gaslamp Quarter and a mile from shopping and eateries in Seaport Village.

Close to convention center. The room decor and layout was very modern and had a nice feel to it. The staff was very friendly and nothing but helpful when needed.

Couldn't have asked for better service. Right at the start of the Gaslamp District. Walking distance to many great restaurants and bars.

Close to the baseball stadium. Staff was friendly and offered good suggestions for dinner. Great location, great staff, clean, funky and fun.

The Woodstock suite was awesome the room with balcony was great. The restaurant Mary Janes was very good and Robbie the concierge was very helpful.

Fun place to be. The bed was very comfortable and my view was amazing! Location is excellent - in the heart of Gaslamp Quarter, actually right next to the Gaslamp sign.

Pretty good view depending on where the room is located. Direct exits to 5th Ave, 6th Ave, and L St is a nice added convenience.

Lobby and surrounding have nice, clean, modern decor. Pool area needs a revamp. Gym could be better. The mattress was a bit too soft for my liking.

Also the walk in shower looked great and the dual shower heads were nice but it caused large amounts of water to pool up where you're supposed to dry off.

The exhaust fan in the bathroom was so loud that it disturbed our sleep even with the door closed. Arrived on the day of a baseball game.

Road closures made it difficult to get to the valet drop off point. Cannot park your own car. Wish the hotel room was more clean. Lots of items in the room i.

Snacks and items for purchase that hadn't been swapped out in a long time. For a 4 star hotel I expected a little more. Room needed a refresh - signs of wear and tear.

Stop charging resort fees. Include microwave and minifridge in each room. After checking in and not an early check in were were barged in by the cleaning staff.

That could have been embarrassing, right! Then I get an email a day after checkout with a It is disappointing because we really had a good time and I like the hotel and their staff, but I don't like being screwed!

After housekeeping, we found that the original iPhone dock we were provided was switched for a different model. The original one was better for us, as we could directly mount the phone for charging without a cable needed.

The newer model required a cable, which we didn't have. Called the desk and they didn't know why it was switched, and said they'd follow up to resolve the issue Overall, staff is not the most helpful.

Was charged for a king suite and received a regular room. Haven't received the credit yet. View all San Diego Hotels.

The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were very clean. The staff were all pleasant, professional and very helpful.

The hotel is in a great location. It's a very short walk to great restaurants, shopping and Petco Park. I would definately stay here again. The room is very nice and modern.

The front desk staff were very nice. The shampoo and conditioner they provide smell amazing. And the fitness center was very nice. The rooms were a little small for the cost of them and it would have been nice if there was a mini-fridge in them.

There is also no "sundries" store, so if you want a drink or a snack there is no where to get that. We also called for room service and no one answered the phone.

The glass shower in the middle of the room is just plain weird. There are not a lot of people I want to see shower. It just feels intimate in a very out-of-place kind of way.

My friend and I went out for the evening and came back for an nightcap at the bar. Much to our disappointment, they did 'last call' early, so we missed out on a final drink.

It feels like a new hotel needs to create some consistency if it hopes to catch on. The hotel seems very focused on the pool and making the 'pool scene' a thing.

The cabanas, the artfully arranged pillows, the champagne buckets. It felt like they were trying too hard to woo locals, as opposed to cater to hotel guests.

And there were a lot of staff standing around talking to each other whenever I was in the lobby or at the front desk. I often felt like I, as the guest, was interrupting their work.

A treasured San Diego landmark, the hotel is situated in the lively, historic downtown Gaslamp Quarter, just steps from top shopping, dining, and entertainment destinations, and a short drive from beaches, museums, and family attractions.

Meanwhile, the Art Deco-style Grant Grill and Grant Grill Lounge offer a fresh approach to fine dining with urban energy, signature libations, and contemporary Californian cuisine.

It was a wonderful expeeience from the moment we walk in to the time we left. It's a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff.

The room was great and service was excellent. The hotel is a historic landmark located near the Gaslamp district in downtown San Diego.

The location is great for shopping, site seeing, and night life. The staff of the hotel was superb! A fantastic back drop for a romantic getaway.

Great room and decor. Elegant and plush surroundings, very comfortable bed, room was lovely with great amenities even though I had a single room.

Great power breakfast meal! The staff was friendly and courteous. The entire stay was pleasant and we were well taken care of as guests.

The historic hotel was clean and the staff was courteous. Rooms were a fair size and had all the amenities that I would want in a luxury hotel.

The lobby was comfortable for getting caught up on email and had a great cup of coffee in the morning. As mentioned in the title, I have never had such a comfortable bed and wish I could take it home with me.

Good, comfortable bed; historic setting; very good food in their grill: Geat Caesar salad at lunch; good bar service; excellent Bloody Mary!

Helpful concierge gave me good info about getting to the San Diego Zoo. Enjoyed our stay with our 5 yr old. Very courteous staff, local amenities, and close Seaport Village and other site seeing entertainment.

Now a favorite, will definitely stay again in the near future. The rooms were big and the decor was very nice.

The staff were great and the location was perfect for visiting San Diego. The room smells like mold. I stated 5 hours and left.

Booked a hotel next door. The Spa Suite was a little plain in appearance for a luxury hotel but the therapist was excellent.

Very noisy on the 4th floor exterior room all night long on a weekend.. I requested a room with a view and got a view of the rundown buildingf to peo next to us and listene.

The hotel cannot control this, but the area is filled with homeless and panhandlers that made it uncomfortable to walk to the Gaslamp district or Midway museum it's worse on 4th Street.

Next time we will likely stay close to the waterfront where the problem seems to be lessened. Snooty front desk clerk: Took advantage of early check in and 4pm checkout - that was great.

Front desk clerk says: Also, downtown San Diego is a dreary place indeed. And while there are nice restaurants within a mile, this particular stretch of Broadway isn't much The charge for parking is too high.

We parked on nearby streets for a tenth of the cost. Our award-winning, green hotel is LEED certified, with an eco-roof garden. Here, a perfect day might go something like this: When the sun sets, enjoy cocktails and breathtaking views from our Level 9 Rooftop Bar, where fire pits keep things warm on cool nights.

Our hotel is well known for its warm hospitality and inspired service, and is also enthusiastically pet friendly. I love the location! The view was pretty good.

I'm a huge fan of Aveda products and for them to have them there, was a huge plus! The friendly staff was great. Always greeting and always smiling.

And the price was good. Great place to stay. Very dog friendly, friendly professional staff, comfortable spacious room. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating!

The rooms were large and I loved the aveda bath products. Clean, great location, nice room and a modern feel. It was a beautiful, well managed and well located hotel.

The desk staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and clean. Relevant and modern decor. Rooftop bar is nice with a great view into the stadium.

Would stay again for sure. The room and view we're great. Very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable, I took pictures of the label to buy the same mattress for my self.

The staff was very nice and friendly. They wanted to know where we were from and why we were there. As it turned out we told them that we were there celebrating out 44 wedding anniversary.

When we got back to the room, after dinner, there was a bottle of wine and 2 lovely glasses waiting for us compliments of the hotel.

A totally nice stay. We will recommend the hotel if asked. We have already told several people what a great stay we had.

The security is very good. Beautiful room upgrade Great location Friendly and helpful staff Excellent upkeep. Proximity to downtown SD. I didn't like that they didn't offer smoking rooms.

Also, I didn't like that you couldn't vape up stairs at their rooftop bar. Why we left to another roof top bar that did allow vaping.

That was kind of a bummer. I wish they provided a few complimentary bottles of water in the room. Valet is 41 bucks Give me a break.

I did not like that when I booked it said parking was an amenity. That made it seem like it was included. That was a big shock when we arrived and a bit upsetting it was not mentioned before we booked.

Most of the time had to wait over 20 min one day they misplaced my car after about 45 min had to go with the valet to find my car in the garage.

To the hotel's credit they were very apologetic and comped my valet parking fee for my entire stay so they still have good customer service in my book.

My wife likes to use the stairs for the exercise. They were meant to be fire escapes and exit outside and require an employ to enter from outside.

We asked to have our rate adjusted and were told that they had no responsibility as your site collected our money and paid them. I will never use your service again and I will warn everyone I know about your deception.

It isn't the amount that bothered me the valet scratched my brand new highlander. None of the valets fessed up and I didn't notice until after i checked out and drove off.

Hotel staff was excellent! Top rate friendly staff. Great decor, rooms, location and staff. I love the hotel. Bed was comfortable, good size room, clean, nice staff, great breakfast at restaurant, good drinks at night!

Great staff and service. Loved the rooftop pool. I didn't have any problems and it was fine, but I think awareness of surroundings would need to be stressed.

Room service was terrible, my steak was super well done but lots of excellent restaurants near by. Pool area was very cramped The room was on the 5th floor and there was a frequent rumbling sound coming from what sounded like above us.

It made it difficult to sleep. I needed ear plugs. Omni San Diego Hotel. Featured amenities include wired Internet access surcharge , a business center, and express check-out.

Planning an event in San Diego? This hotel has square feet square meters of space consisting of a conference center and meeting rooms.

Staff was very courteous, rooms were clean and well stocked, beds were comfortable and had clean sheets.

Clise to bars and restaurants. Functional and clean rooms, all amenities available. Excellent location for conferences in convention center or one of the large surrounding hotels.

I love everything about this hotel! From the location, the rooms, the staff, the bar and restaurant, to the new friends I made.

Very clean, comfortable bed, nice staff, perfect location, and great view from the 17th floor. The room was clean and well laid out.

The bed was comfortable, and the windows was nice and big. Loved the location, bed, look and feel of the room, and the staff.

I stayed in a water facing room with a sort of balcony on the 20th floor. It was a tremendous view I had a fantastic time.

Couldn't possibly be closer to gas lamp district. Staff were very nice. Its was clean staff was amazing.

As expedia costumer typically placed in one of the less favorable rooms in this case above the pool bar, whci was used for evening and morning events with music Pricey food and drink items in the hotel e.

Solid hotel as always. Front desk clerk who checked us in was not professional and quite curt. Train your staff for those who travel far distances who deserve a little common courteously, will you?

Door does not close on either side. The room was a bit small and unequipted for the price per night. No microwave or refrigerator unless you call and ask for one to be sent up which was a bit tedious.

Overall only complaint I could have. Valet parking should be free. You are already spending money in staying in that hotel why wouldn't the valet parking be included??

Room was nice and clean. The view was great. Location was great, located is in the middle of gas lamp and the convention center to take the ferry to Coronado.

Very good location for the Gaslamp Quarter. The hotel was lovely and the concierge was super helpful in finding me a place to get a relaxing mani-pedi.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was excellent location. From the minute we drove up to valet to checking in and out, customer service was great.

Right in the main location of downtown gaslamp, next to Petco park which we were there for the All Star game. Had an amazing time. Would definitely stay here again.

There was no refrigerator but there was a microwave. Why would i need to warm up my food in the microwave if i didnt have a fridge.

Wish they would include a complimentary breakfast. Rooms were outdated wish they looked more like the lobby area. Overall comfortable relaxing stay with my husband.

We take full advantage of our waterfront location, and so can you. Host an event for up to in our unique waterfront meeting venue, overlooking Point Loma and our private yacht marina.

We traveled with a one year old and they provided a crib. There is a playground across the street which was great. This is in a perfect location.

Isolated from noise and congestion so you can enjoy the peace and beauty of the marina. Will stay there again the next time we come!

The views of the water We were upgraded from a double queen to a junior suite that was very large. It was in the Casa del Mar building.

Lovely walking path along the harbor, exercise room with tv, but make sure it's plugged in. I didn't catch that the first time I tried and pools didn't use.

Did not eat in the restaurant as we have family in San Diego where we ate. It's in a good location for us. Some streets in San Diego change names at intersections you might not expect them to, so review a good street map before you set out.

Airport very close by, but wasn't bothered by jet noise - maybe they just go over my daughter's house. Nice clean location with great view of the marina.

Excellent Location San Diego Bay across street and boat marina on the other side of hotel. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean.

The view was nice. The staff was friendly, the views are great Beds are comfortable, lots of pillows. The room we stayed in had a king sized bed, had a mini fridge and a microwave.

We would definitely recommend to friends and family! Location to other fun places to visit, Nice pools and view of the waterfront.

Pools and hot tubs, free tennis and bikes, waterfront location and price. Don't expect early check in. When they say check in is at 4, it's at 4.

But at least the location is in a great area so you can go eat or go walk around Belmont park. Bathroom fan quite loud, but it was never on for very long.

We were on the street side so our view from the patio was bushes and cars. We weren't there to sit on the patio and if I wanted to see the sailboats all I had to do was walk to the marina side.

No breakfast included, but with family in the area that was o. Had trouble sleeping and relaxing with poor sound proofing.

We could clearly hear the people speaking in the room next to us with very little privacy. The entry door to our room also had a large gap at the floor which let in light and sound.

The beds were hard and my back had a negative reaction to it. Bathroom sink needs attention room , noise from Navy base.

The front desk staff was super nice and accommodating, which was fantastic. The hotel was clean and comfortable.

Room service was delicious and fast, and the staff that delivered it was so friendly! The complimentary breakfast was awesome as well, with made to order omelettes and such.

There was also a free happy hour, which made it very easy to stay at the hotel to enjoy dinner and drinks.

The hotel staff were friendly and the complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails were great. I love the embassy suites, awesome breakfast, and happy hour.

Nice, quiet, clean rooms. Great for families, rooms are big enough for 4. Water and snacks included. While it was clean, it was just "eh".

For the price of our stay, I expected a bit more. It had a standard tub, with a standard shower head, that did have a few settings.

It would have been nice to have a larger tub, or a jetted tub, with a removable shower head. It also seemed that the room above us was not carpeted, so we were able to hear luggage rolling around up there occasionally.

The second day of our stay there was no maid service for our room. It was a disappointment. Our kids were told they can't hang out outside their room without grownups but that is so nonsense!

Kids can be independent! Parking should be included in rate - especially for self park. Carpet is old and not that great housekeeping.

Sofa bed very incomfortable. I had two rooms so we took mattress from one room to place on the other sofa bed. San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter.

Again the staff was excellent, from the valet guy to the maids, they all go beyond there line of duty. Roof top bar is a lot of fun.
